The Old schoolhouse at Meigle Perthshire contains a collection of 27 carved stones dating from the 8th century.The pictish stones portray religious symbols and scenes of hunting and weapons and animals. The quality and quantity of the stones imply that Meigle was an important Pictish Church and burial ground. The collection is maintained by Historic Scotland.
